One Water Race Preview: Meet Team 4 – Sweden & Australia

The One Water Race is a gigantic 250km race down the Stockholm Archipelago which combines navigation, swimrun and adventure racing.

Participating teams need to excel at orienteering, become masters of the challenges of multi-day endurance racing with an abundance of swimming in open water and long distance running.

Here we meet Team 4 – Sweden & Australia of Adriel Young, Daniel Hansson and Kristin Larsson.

About the team

Team 4 sought special skills for a OneWater-team must have for this race and selected members out of that. We all have felt that OneWaterRace offered a new concept adding more challenges to a swimrun race that we wanted to take on

The biggest challenge you think you will face during the race?

Hard to say. There are many components (ie sleep, energy, navigation) to take into account in a race like this. But for sure the changing body temperature will be a challenge. It probably will depend on a lot on the weather.

Your top tip for first time swimrunners for race day?

Have fun. It’s a sport that offers many special experiences.
