Detailed Recommendation Score
Our reviewer attempts to put each part of the race with elements important to the swimrunner. Each area we look at is scored out of 10 to fit the following criteria:
- 0-4 Poor
- 5 Average
- 6-7 Good
- 8-9 Excellent
- 10 Gold standard
We look at three areas; a course rating, a race organiser rating and a value for money score:
Course Rating (50% of weighting)
- Course scenery /10
- Course transitions /10
- Course swims /10
- Course runs /10
- Course marking /10
Race Organisation (40% of weighting)
- Event communications & registration process /10
- Safety (safety boats and medics) /10
- Marshalls /10
- Overall atmosphere /10
Value For Money (10% of weighting)
- Is this course good value for money compared to the industry average and overall experience. /10
SWIMRUN.COM RACE RECOMMENDATION
The scores from the course rating, race organiser rating and avalue for money score are all added up to give a score out of 100 which we convert into a % recommendation.
A score of 90%+ (5 stars) or 80%+ (4 stars) gives a swimrun.com endorsement.
Scores of 70%+ (3 stars), 60%+ (2 stars) and 50%+ (1 star)
